This year my family was able to attend Lego Brickfest Live! Which is awesome since we have 4 Lego fanatics in this house. One bedroom honestly has a 3 foot table filled with Lego scenery and a whole book shelf dedicated to completed Lego projects. We had no idea what was in store for us and Lego Brickfest did not disappoint!
As we walked in we were greeted by a life sized Lego Woody from Toy Story! We quickly ran over for Lego picture photo. There were so many vendors, that my kids were in heaven! My son turned to me and said, “Mom I want everything in here”. He was not joking, if allowed he would have bought one of everything!
I was surprisingly shocked that there were a ton of actives for the kids to do. They were able to build these cute Lego tiles and display them on the wall for all to see. One of the kids favorite things was building a Lego race car and then racing them against each other. Next we went to Lego mini golf, and the HUGE round pool of Lego’s where the kids sat in them and built Lego’s. There were multiple places where they could build with Lego’s and then display their creations, which is really awesome. Last but not least, they played a Lego Video Game on the big screen T.V.’s. They loved every bit of it.
Here is my advice if you plan to attend a Lego Brickfest Live Event:
Go on a Friday night, there is a lot less people (even the vendors said, that is the perfect night to attend) Make sure to go for the FULL 4 hours (this way you can DO EVERYTHING) Eat prior to, but if you do not eat prior to, call where the event is being held and find out if there will be food for sale. Bring your camera (the kids are so proud of each and EVERYTHING they build)
This really was a great event and I look forward to going next year!
