Elitch Gardens Brings All-Star Concerts to Denver

Mike Posner, Miranda Cosgrove, Anberlin, Thousand Foot Crutch, Hawk Nelson and Third Day headline free concert series

DENVER, CO (APRIL 12, 2011) – Elitch Gardens Theme Park and Water Park today announced that chart-topping hip-hopper Mike Posner will kick off the entertainment venue’s free concert series beginning June 4. The “Cooler than Me” crooner will be joined by TV sensation and pop recording artist Miranda Cosgrove of Nickelodeon’s iCarly. Additional artists Anberlin, Hawk Nelson and Third Day will also take the stage this summer at the Elitch Arena.
As Denver’s premiere, all-ages entertainment destination, Elitch Gardens offers family-friendly concerts in a fun, safe environment. All concerts are free with park admission.
Elitch Gardens’ 2011 summertime concert series is bigger than ever with top artists from hip-hop to Christian. On June 4 Mike Posner, whose first single “Cooler than Me” reached number six on the Billboard Top 100, will take the stage. Christian rock bands Thousand Foot Crutch and Hawk Nelson share billing on June 18, while traditional Christian act Third Day comes to Elitch Gardens on July 16. Alt-rockers Anberlin take the stage on July 23.
The summer really heats up on August 13 when teen sensation Miranda Cosgrove, star of Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice 2011 winner for Favorite TV Show, iCarly, comes to the Mile High City. Miranda, an actress, singer and veteran of two hit TV shows, Drake and Josh and iCarly, also appeared in Jack Black’s School of Rock and provided voice talent for Despicable Me. Widely noted for her singing talent, Cosgrove hit the charts with her debut album Sparks Fly and performs four songs on the iCarly soundtrack. The Neutrogena skin care rep is turning heads on stage and on the red carpet but parents can rest assured that Cosgrove’s shows are “good fun aimed at kids and anyone else who watches the show,” according to Cosgrove.
